Cascadia Seaweed’s liquid kelp extract, Kelpivex, is now available to Canadian producers following a year-long certification process by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Farmers can now access a Canadian-made, high-quality product that supports plant productivity, farm profitability, and climate resilience while helping crops use nutrients more efficiently.
Early trial results demonstrate that Kelpivex helps crops utilize nutrients more effectively, supporting plant growth and soil health. By improving nutrient efficiency, farmers can maintain—or even improve—yields with lower fertilizer inputs, generating economic and environmental benefits simultaneously.
The timing of the certification approval is particularly relevant given the 2025 Canadian Federal Budget, which invests in on-farm climate action, clean technology, and scientific research to reduce agricultural emissions. With national targets for fertilizer emission reductions, Kelpivex provides a practical, homegrown tool that helps farmers produce more with less while contributing to climate-smart agriculture goals.
