What is Kelpivex?
Kelpivex is a 100% natural liquid kelp extract derived from cultivated Saccharina latissima, a species of brown kelp native to Pacific coastal waters.
Cascadia Seaweed grows the kelp on marine farms in partnership with coastal First Nations, harvests it at peak nutritional value, and processes it using an advanced extraction method that preserves key bioactive compounds.
Our extraction technology results in a high-quality extract with a naturally acidic pH, making it well-suited for a wide range of crop nutrition programs and product formulations.
Kelpivex also contains lower levels of alginates than many conventional kelp extracts, reducing the risk of gelling when tank mixed with calcium-containing products and improving compatibility in complex spray programs.
Its lighter colour provides an additional advantage in high-value fruit systems such as berries, where spray programs are frequent and visual residue concerns are heightened. The lighter colour has a cleaner tank appearance and reduced likelihood of noticeable film or discoloration on foliage or fruit can support greater confidence through harvest, packing, and buyer inspection stages.
Kelpivex acts at the cellular level to improve nutrient uptake, stimulate root and shoot development, and activate the plant's natural stress-response pathways. The result is a crop that works harder with the inputs available.

Kelpivex can be applied by foliar spray, transplant root dip, tuber dip, or soil drench.
It is compatible with most soil amendments and fertilizers, however, a compatibility test is recommended before mixing with new products.
