Our head office is located in the picturesque town of Sidney by the Sea, situated within the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ People on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, just a 20-minute drive from Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia. Sidney is just minutes from the BC Ferry Terminal in Swartz Bay and the Victoria International Airport. We also have a facility in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island, and we are establishing a Northern Hub in Prince Rupert, BC.

Position Title: Director of Sales
Reports To: CEO

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading our sales efforts in the agricultural biostimulant/liquid kelp extract sector. Cascadia Seaweed specializes in cultivating and harvesting seaweed, converting the biomass into liquid kelp extract and biostimulant products. These products are used by growers and farmers alongside fertilizers to enhance crop yields and improve resistance to abiotic stress.
The Director of Sales is responsible for selling to growers, wholesalers, and blenders in the USA and Canada. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in our target markets. This is a remote role with frequent travel required to target markets.
Direct and recent experience in a relevant position with agricultural product, fertilizer and soil amendment sales and management is essential.

The Manager of Agricultural Products is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes, managing performance and efficacy tests in agriculture for liquid seaweed extract/biostimulants, and oversees and manages product compliance with certification standards in Canada, the USA, and internationally.
This role involves gaining state and national certification for the liquid seaweed extract/biostimulant products, conceiving and overseeing rigorous testing of product efficacy and outcomes with a variety of crops, and working with management and clients to ensure that product formulation(s) meet growers’ needs and expectations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in agriculture product formulation, certification, and managing tests and trials.

Position Title: Farm Operations Lead
Reports To: Farm Manager

Cascadia Seaweed is looking for a Farm Operations Lead to support our innovative seaweed farming operations. This role combines physical, outdoor work with leadership and problem-solving, making it ideal for someone with transferable skills from the construction or marine industries.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, the Farm Operations Lead will be responsible for executing and improving daily farm operations. We are seeking someone who can take initiative, work independently after training, and contribute fresh ideas to optimize our methods
The Farm Operations Lead will provide essential support to the Farm Manager in the day-to-day operations of Cascadia’s seaweed farming, harvesting, and post processing activities. This role involves hands-on work in the field, assisting with equipment maintenance, farm construction, and the cultivation of seaweed. This position will work up to 50% on the water with the balance of time at upland facilities.
